A Nitrogen‐Rich 2D sp2‐Carbon‐Linked Conjugated Polymer Framework as a High‐Performance Cathode for Lithium‐Ion Batteries

Porous carbon materials should be great to use in batteries – they’re light and their porosity means they have a huge surface area for a small mass, the problem is they typically don’t conduct electricity well. Making the framework entirely out of sp carbon atoms, means that electrons can travel all the way across the carbon framework without a barrier.
